Finally, a picture post!!!

Finally, a picture of me and my bestest buddies ever before attending church on Sunday. I am now sporting a small pooch which is a little hard to see in my white dress, but i love it. I am now in my 13th week and my baby is a little over 3 inches long. Samuel is sporting his favorite, cowboy boots. He proudly stomps all through the house when he wears them.
Samuel and Ethan decided to do a cheer dance in honor of Samuel losing his first tooth. Of course cupcakes are always needed for an occasion like this one.
Samuel enjoying Dad's big game at knights Stadium. We had so much fun. It did rain a little, but that didn't stop us die hard fans.
Samuel with one tooth gone and one more about ready to go any day now.
Best buddies!!!
Ethan, as always, attached at the hip to his older brother. Isn't that so cute!!! Where thou will go, i will follow. Wheather to mischief or to sit and behave like angels :). I know my boys will grow up to always take great care for one another. Through good times and bad they love to play together. Every night we tuck the boys in their beds and watch them slowly fall asleep. I feel I am in a dream. Blessed with such sweet responsibilty to teach and take care of these little ones. We always pray for great dreams and give God thanks for everything. In the morning without fail we will find them both cuddled tight and in one bed.

Nothing but smiling faces

I left my camera in Sam's car so I have no pictures of the wonderful day we spent swimming. The boys were scared at first because the lake was so big and dark, but that lasted about 2 seconds. Fitted with their life jackets they doggy paddled and explored everything they could. Of course, I was next to them the whole day. Mom’s, their babies and water I think are a customary recipe for paranoia. The boys went behind the boat and were towed on big inflatable boat beds. I could see only cheers and smiling faces until the raft tipped over and of course it was the end of the world. Samuel didn’t let go and was dragged a bit, but after a big comforting hug he was ready to go again. I finally fulfilled my long wish of swimming underwater. The water was perfect. It was not to cold or hot and I felt if I could I would transform into a fish at any moment and live underwater forever. Our day was cut short by the need for work and i said goodbye to my beloved water with tears in my eyes. My two hour drive home was enveloped with views of table rock mountain, Caesars Head, lots of green covered hills and expensive houses. The boys were sad to leave, but anxiously await our visit again to the water. Their little eyes closed 10 minutes into our ride home and were opened when we arrived at our doorstep. The water tuckered them out good.
Sam has had a full schedule of games this week and was housed in Morganton for two days to umpire the end of the scbl season. He decided to attack the weeds today and left them no chance of survival after drenching them continuously with round up. I love the look of cut grass and trimmed edges. My tomato plants are growing and i can't wait till they redden for the plucken. Ethan was in a pretty funny state this morning he was going around with yellow stick it notes and handing us paychecks for gas and a variety of things. Of course we all received tickets to see Thomas. I was picking up sticky notes all day. Sam told me later that Ethan had given him 5 paychecks and i asked him what they were for and he told him to buy toys for Ethan and gas. I guess he hears me and Sam saying we need to gas up all the time. Too funny.
Today I baked a lasagna i had left already to go the day before. For some reason we couldn’t stop drinking lemonade today. The boys kept repeating how delicious it was and I couldn't stop smiling. My neighbor came by today to give me cupcakes she had baked for us on “Sunday”. As she handed me the glass bowl Bailey jumps on me and knocks it our of my hands and onto the floor. She is always baking us some delicious treat :) (except today is Friday ). I am thankful to have such sweet neighbors!!! She has offered many times to baby sit so Sam and i could go on a date. I think i will take her up on that offer one of these days.

I finally get to submerg!!

The boys have managed to get stuck in the closet behind me. They have gone from best friends to sworn enemies because of a small toy airplane. As always, there’s that one toy that stirs up problems and so many tears. After a hug and a kiss and of course a few minutes in time out they're back to loving each other. Samuel Sang 5 songs with his church group on Sunday. They were maritime themed and all the kids wore sailor hats they made in class. Samuel waved to me more than he sang, and when it came time to sign language his treasure song he did wonderfully. We stayed for service and the large ice cream social in the new fellowship hall ( Which is huge and below ground. So if a bomb alert were in order I know where I will be taking me family). In which case I should have put paper bags covering up everything except their little faces. Samuels hair is extremely long and curls only on one side. He looks like he does not belong in this era. I ran a lot of errands yesterday and one of which was a much needed trip to the oil change station. As we were leaving, Samuel was glued to the cars that were being fixed next to the big service window. The mechanic opened the door and Samuel screams at the top of his lungs. I could have heard him a mile away. The mechanic ignores the loud scream and keeps walking... how rude. I look at little Samuels face and his expression says it all. He points down to his toe and its covered in blood. The top nail on his big toe was bent back in half after experiencing a clash with the door. I understand it was an accident, but to walk away and not say anything or even offer a Band-Aid infuriated me. I couldn’t resist giving the man the evil eye as I helped Samuel wobble to the car.

Monday was my anniversary and we had a wonderful relaxing day at home. Sam cooked me and the boys steak sandwiches for dinner and after the boys were in bed we both finished a large pot of coffee and watched “Elephants Attack” on national geographic. Of course when “The Elephant” show was on commercial break we watched “Shark Hunters“. Instead of popcorn we ate trail mix and baby Ruth bars. Not very healthy, but its what I was craving. The air conditioner was set at 70 so we could cuddle warmly under our flannel blanket. We had such a wonderful peaceful evening. Seven years together and I feel I have known my love forever and yet time has passed quickly. I remember the wonderful feeling of walking into our very own apartment for the first time and shortly their after baby Samuel joined our lives. We are so blessed.
Tomorrow we will be joining Daniel and his family at their lake house for the day. I can’t wait! I have tried to completely sink myself in water, but every attempt I try something prevents me. I filled up our pool to swim well maybe not swim, but definitely sink. Then lightening struck and Bailey took a nice big bite out of it. On my birthday we had set out to try the new water park in town and come to find out as we pull up it was field trip day. We then drove to pleasant ridge park were the lake is open from 10:00 to 3:00. Sadly the last 2 occasions I have been; the lake has been closed to thunder and insufficient swimmers. I tell you to speak of the water drives me mad. I know a huge part of it all is because I am pregnant, but that is a reason to continue my mission for submersion. I was watching jaws last night and I kept thinking to myself who cares about the shark. Just look at the people swimming. Their whole bodies underwater; every pore of their skin drenched in water. Yes, I am pregnant…I know. I need to join the Y and maybe my need for a completely refreshing water submersion will be quenched. On a different note, what woke me up today was not the phone ringing; as in which case I automatically reply CMS, but my sciatic nerve on my left leg. Ouch! The pain is truly uncomfortable.
Well tomorrow we will swim and the day will be wonderful and I will have lots of pictures to post. I had to post in different colors of blue as all i can think of in this heat is WATER!!

Campbell Family Update

I have neglected my postings, but I have to admit it was not my fault. My boys love to play on the computer every chance they get. They just recently disabled our font adjustments and up until now I have not been able to fix it. Samuel and Ethan managed to download the Weather Channel doppler update in a matter of seconds. How that happened I have no idea ( clicking way i guess). We have been banned the boys from entering the computer room unless mommy or daddy are present (will see how long this lasts). I am writing on a font size of about 18 and it is so frustrating.
Sam has posted a website for all his umpire pictures so if you want to take a look go to www.umpirepictures.blogspot.com. The kids and I ran around the stadium trying to get cool shots from different angles. We truly had a wonderful time. The expierence was topped off with a Game ball samuel found andof course authentic stadium hotdogs and fries. Sam looked unbelievable out there. Samuel and Ethan yelled praises for their daddy the whole night. During one inning Sam turned around and waved back to the boys. The look on their faces was priceless.
Just yesterday I had some spotting and cramping so I decided to call the doctor. He suggested I come in so he could listen to the heartbeat and make sure everything is okay. We didn't hear a heartbeat so he sent me to get an ultrasound in which case we found out that baby is looking great. Although, I have been put on a moderate bed rest just to make sure nothing happens. As everyone knows this is very difficult for me since I am always up and about chasing two boys and keeping up with daily chores and mostly because a part of me hates sitting down for too long a period. Sam made us a wonderful dinner of ground beef steaks and garlic mashed potatoes. He has been such a great helper putting up with my many nauseating moments. This pregnancy is nothing like my other two. This one has hit me very hard and I am feeling very gross all the time. I know that better times await me.
Samuel just finished his Discovery camp at church and had a wonderful time. We are anxiously awaiting his singing extravaganza on Sunday in which we will be having lots of ice cream afterwards and taking lots of pictures. The last few weeks have been devastatingly hot. We are thankful we have a fixed air conditioner to get through this hot tiempo.
